Two more handbags

I got two more handbags done. They are so easy and fun to make. My mom picked out the green bag fabric. I might give it to her for her birthday or mothers day.

hand bags

I put down the crochet hooks and got out my sewing machine. I found some really cute bags at www.rosylittlethings.com . So, I went to the store and got a Simplicity pattern #4490, and I made these.

Girls night

Last Thursday was our girls night out at work. We went out to dinner, and then to Cindy's house where I showed 4 of the girls how to crochet. I'm not sure they enjoyed it. I know Chris was a little frustrated with it. But the other 3 girls have crocheted before. I had fun. Cindy gave me a size Q hook. It is HUGE. Here it is next to my H hook!

all my ducks are NOT in a row

I have 2 days before Easter dinner on Saturday and our 2nd Easter dinner on Sunday. I have 6 duck STARTED, out of 10 and not one is finished. I have been working 3 and more hours a day on these ducks. I am sick of ducks and my hand hurts. : ( I think I'll have to give some at Easter and some after, when I get them finished. That's not what I wanted to do, but I don't think I will be able to finish them all in time.

just ducky

Here I go agian... Starting another project without finishing the ones I has started. I found this pattern in the May 2006 ' Defining Crochet' magazine. (crochetmagazine.com)I have 8 nieces and nephews, and my doughtier, Kaylynn I want to make one for. So that is 9! BY EASTER SUNDAY! I took the picture to work to show the girls, and Ruth wants to buy one from me for her grandson. So that makes 10! I'm going to try to make 10 ducks in 12 days! This is what I have done, 9 of 10 duck bills and 1 of 20 duck feet. Well, no time to talk I have to get back to making ducks. Wish me luck on the duck. How much do I charge for one duck? any suggestions? It is 13 inches long when finished.

bath rose

I got this pattern off of the CrochetMe web site. It took me longer than I thought it would. (about 2 or 2 1/2 hours, I didn't really watch the clock) I thought it would only take me about one hour or so. It was fun to make. I gave it to my sister, Christina in the hospital when she had her baby, Makayla. I hope she likes it.

the birthday girl

Kaylynn turned two on March 22nd! I cannot believe how fast the past two years have gone! It is unreal. This was a really fun birthday for her; and us. She is now old enough to know what gifts are and that they were for her, and she wanted more of them. She had fun playing with her cousins and her new toys.

pink dress

I made this dress for Christina's (my sister) baby, Makayla. It took me about 6 or 7 hours. The pattern is from the book 'Simple Crochet for Cherished Babies' by Jane Davis. I took it to work to show the girls and a lady I work with, Nancy loved it, so I made one for her too. She said it is going to be past down to all the new baby girls in the family. I was honored that something I made will be so cherished and will be a heirloom in her family.

the dress

I let a friend pick something out for me to crochet for her doughter, as a birthday gift. Well this is what she picked......I think it is very cute but it has been a challenge from the start. First I could not find the yarn the pattern called for. Now it has taken me 4 times to get the gauge right.... well what I hope is right. I have worked on this dress for about 4 hours and this is how far I am.... row 6. I know it is going to be a great gift ........ when I get it done.

Kaylynns poncho

This is Kaylynn in her poncho I made her. This is the best picture I could get of her in it. She will not sit or stand still very long. She looks mad but she's not, she was talking about something, not sure what she was talking about. I made the poncho with Jiffy Lion Brand yarn.

Makaylas hat

This is the hat I made for Makayla. It is still a bit big for her but it will fit her some day. It was very easy to make. It took me about one and a half hours to make. I also made one for a lady at church for her new baby girl, AnnaBell, she is fostring.

Kaylynn and Makayla

This is my doughter Kaylynn and her new cousin Makayla. She was born on Wednesday March 15, 2006.

Hello

Hi, my name is Tabitha. I love to creat things from nothing. I think it is amazing to make something out of a ball of yarn. I have been crocheting for a few years but I just learned how to read patterns, and I'm having so much fun making things for everyone I know. Here is a hat I made for my co-worker Ruth, for her grandson. I got this pattern out of a book called 'Too Cute Crochet, For Baby and Toddlers' by Cynthia preston. It only took me about 2 hours. I think It's really cute.
