A new craft!

Well, I just went christmas and birthday shopping for myself..... I got a Baby lock embroidery/sewing machine. http://www.babylock.com/sewing-embroidery/product.asp?Product_ID=BLR I can pick it up on the 31st. I can't wait to get it! I have a lot of ideas, for gifts and maybe selling some things too. My mom also wants to use it for her business. This is a web site for designs I can upload into my machine, http://www.emblibrary.com/

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch in Michigan today, where Kaylynn got to ride a pony, pick a pumpkin (well two), and eat a doughnut! We also got to see little piglets that were born just a few hours before we got there. It was a lot of fun!

Please pray for Tim

Please keep my friends step-dad and mom in your prayers. Tim was in an accident Tuesday morning. He is in MCU in the surgery ICU. He will be having surgery on Friday (we think) to set his pelvis which is broken in 4 places. He has multiple injuries but no head injuries thank god! He will be out of work for a long time. Please also keep the rest of her family in your prayers as they will be traveling into town to see Tim. If any one knows of someone who would like to be a foster parent for her parents dog, Rosie, please let me know. Her mom will not be home much with Tim being in the hospital or rehab and will not be able to take care of her. Thank you!

parade

Our church was in a parade on Sat. 9-16-06. Kaylynn, next to daddy and my niece Jordan, would not get into her sheep costume. The parade was well attended, we handed out suckers and had a great time doing it!

This is Preston and Brianna, my nephew and niece, they look so cute in their costumes!

2nd dress

My sisters friend liked the dress, I made Jordan so much she asked me to make one for her three year old daughter.(see 7-7-06) This is the pattern. This is a little trick my mom taught me. I used tissue paper to trace the pattern, that way you can use the other sizes!

storm on 6-21-06

This is a picture of our street on June 21, 2006. In NW Ohio. It looks like a river! The water was about 8-10 inches deep. The picture is a little fuzzy. We were blessed not to have any damage to our property. We did have a 9 foot branch fall off a tree in our back yard, this is a picture of how it fell!

back to the crafts

Yes, I have been creating and crafting in the past month. I was just waiting to put them on my blog, so I could focus it on Gavin. I will keep updating on Gavin.

This is a picture of a dress I made Jordan, when I had her, the night Gavin was born. We went to Wal-Mart and she picked the pattern and fabric. I made the shrug reversible.

Last week I was introduced to jewelry making, by my bosses wife, Marcia. And you know I loved it. I went to Hobby Lobby and got everything I needed to make tons of things. Here are some pictures of some of them, just some.

I helped Kaylynn make her two bracelets, she put most of the beads on the big one, and she put the butterflies on the small one. She loved it. I love it because I think she is going to be crafty like me. : )

july update on Gavin

Sorry for not updating sooner and more often. Time just got away from me. Gavin is up to 4 pounds and 13.75 ounces. He will not need any heart surgery, the hole in his heart has closed and they are calling it a heart murmur. He is having therapy for his spine and they think that will be successful. In the past week he has had his throat looked at, and everything looks good. He also had his hearing tested. He passed on the right ear, but failed on the left ear. The doctors said it is common for preemies to fail the hearing tests until they get older. They are predicting he will be in the hospital one more month. He has to learn to drink from the bottle before he goes home. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

Gavin updates

I just heard that Gavin is doing GREAT! The hole in his heart is closing on its own. They think he WILL NOT need the heart surgery. They also took him off of the I.V. to see how well he does without it. They took the feeding tube out, and they are feeding him by bottle. He maybe going home in 2-3 weeks. Please keep praying for Gavin and his family. Thank you.
